Rosie joined the nursery in April 2024.

She had been on the Little Oaks committee for two years including a year as chair person. Both of her children have attended the nursery.

 

She has worked in Early Years since she started teaching in 2011. 

Rosie lives in Acomb with her husband and two sons. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, failed baking attempts and trips to the beach.

 

Lynne has a level 3 NVQ qualification in Early Years Education and is a Forest School leader.

Lynne Taylor

Deputy Manager

Lynne joined the nursery in 2004. She is the deputy manager of the nursery.

 

Lynne has two children who came to Acomb pre-school and then Acomb First School. She has two dogs called Beryl and Dave, a rabbit and an albino hedgehog.

 

Her interests are her local community, her animals, reading, the cinema, visiting the theatre and the outdoors.

Clare is NNEB qualified.

Clare Shorey

Clare joined the nursery in 2005 after her children came to the nursery. She liked it so much she wanted to stay. Prior to 2005, Clare was a nanny in Northumberland. Clare is married with two daughters and a dog called Pippa.

Her interests are swimming, walking, her local community and going to the cinema.

Lisa has a level 3 Cache qualification in Early Years Education.

Lisa Connolly

Lisa is the longest standing member of Little Oaks as she joined the nursery in 2002. She has two children who attended Little Oaks and then Acomb First School. 

 

Her interests are walking her dog, her local community and her children.

Cristina is Cache level 3 qualified in Early Years Education.  She is currently studying towards a level 5 in Early Years.

Cristina Knox

Cristina joined Little Oaks in 2015 after her son had attended Little Oaks. Cristina came in to help at nursery bringing her Romanian culture to life with the children, she was then persuaded by staff to do a qualification in Early Years.

 

Cristina offers a range of cultural activities including Romanian cooking, dancing, stories and rhymes. Cristina is married and has two children who attended Acomb First School. She has hens.

Her interests are her family, reading, travelling, the WI and her local community.

Caroline has an NCFE Cache level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services

Caroline Watson

Caroline joined Little Oaks in 2012 after her two sons had been at the nursery. Caroline asked if she could do a placement at Little Oaks and when she finished her qualification, we employed her.

 

Caroline is married with four children, two boys and two girls. She has a dog called Tyke.

Her interests are her family, the outdoors and her local community.
