Welcome to Little Oaks Nursery

We are a charity run Nursery situated within the grounds of Acomb First School. We offer high quality care and education for children from 2 to 4 years of age.

What we have to offer:

  • High staff ratios and low staff turnover

  • Fresh, healthy meals, prepared on the premises

  • Fantastic outdoor space included a secure yard, large field and access to common woodland for Forest School

  • Wrap around care from 7.45 am to 9.00 am and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm

  • Low fees - as a charity we are not for profit and work hard to keep our costs low and standards high

If you would like to come and have a look around, please contact us to arrange a visit.

“Little Oaks is an exceptional nursery where the deeply committed staff care for the whole family.

My son loves his days at Little Oaks so much he doesn't want to leave.”

"It has been one of the best decisions we have made sending our son to little oaks. The care and nurturing he has received from his very first day is second to none. Knowing how safe and content he is there is the best feeling as a parent. I cannot thank Catherine and her team enough for everything they do."

Forest School

We provide the waterproofs and wellies, the children enjoy our outdoor space where they can take part in a range of outdoor activities. We have two Forest School leaders and are passionate about the outdoors.

"Choosing the right nursery for your little person can be such a concern as a parent. But, honestly, as a parent of one child who’s already been to Little Oaks and absolutely thrived, I’m hugely excited about my youngest attending soon. The care the staff give is unparalleled - they are genuinely invested in developing your child as a whole person, and ensuring above all that they are happy and loved. The perfect base for them to learn."
