Welcome to Little Oaks Nursery
Situated within Acomb First School, Little Oaks is comprised of a main nursery room and an outdoor classroom with access to school yard and a large field. The field boasts a wild area, pond, orchard, hammocks, quiet areas and log cabin. Children at Little Oaks can enjoy forest school sessions within a small wooded copse, surrounded by picturesque farmland.
Little Oaks provides:

Cooked midday meals, available from the school canteen and can be paid for weekly, snacks and drinks are provided for a termly fee

A fully stocked classroom, various gated outdoor areas including access to forest school woodland

Waterproofs and wellies for our outdoor activities

Development tracking using journals and access to online portal for updates

A high staff to child ratio of 1:5 for children over 3 years old. 1:4 under 3 years old

Events & Workshops
Breakfast and After School Clubs
Come and enjoy early morning activities over breakfast. Open from 8:00am. Our after school club opens from 15:00 until 18:00 and includes a meal.

Forest School
We provide the waterproofs and wellies, the children enjoy our outdoor space where they can take part in a range of outdoor activities. We have two Forest School leaders and are passionate about the outdoors.
